Nainital’s Ramnagar bus accident : On Tuesday, a roadside bus accident occurred near the Halduwa area while traveling from Ramnagar to Gurugram. It was abrupt deteriorating health of the driver that led to loss of control by the bus and subsequent deviation into roadside shrubs.Luckily, it avoided a major mishap and all the passengers were safe as the bus stoppage after hitting a tree.
However, one person received minor injuries due to it. Uttarakhand continues to impose a grim record of road accidents. It does not matter the reason; each day an increasing number of road accidents occurs, which takes many precious lives. The number of traffic accidents has increased remarkably in the past few years. Around 10:30 a.m., this bus left the Ramnagar depot for Gurugram.
The driver of the bus was Shahid, Jatpura, Moradabad. He was already unwell. Uttarakhand has been observing very bad character in terms of road accidents. Reckoning with anything, road-related accidents are increasing with each passing day; hence many precious lives have been lost. It has so badly increased in the last two to three days that reports regarding accidents are being received from every corner of the state.
On Monday Nainital district reported that it was communicated that a bus driver had experienced a heart attack while driving. Shahid started feeling dizzy about 12 kilometres before Halduwa bus reached its destination. Shahid had already applied the brake with his foot, so the speed of the bus had reduced, but then it lost control and went into the bushes beside the road.
Explaining all the preliminary information gathered, around 11:00 am on Monday, Shahid aged about 40 years and resident of Moradabad was travelling in a Uttarakhand Transport Corporation bus from Ramnagar in Nainital district to Delhi via Gurgaon with 38 other passengers.
Meanwhile, immediately after reaching Haldua before Peerumdara, the driver’s health suddenly began to deteriorate. Fortunately, no severe injury was reported when the bus stopped after sliding into the bushes and hitting a tree. The passengers on the bus immediately fled in fear following the accident. The Peerumdwara police arrived on the scene promptly after getting the information, and driver Shahid was taken urgently to the government hospital.
Driver Shahid stated that he suddenly felt dizzy and then fainted right after he applied the brakes. Luckily, all other passengers remained unhurt; however, Mukim received minor injuries due to glass pieces as he was sitting inside the bus at the time of collision.
